A space to breathe, take stock and move forward: from home, wherever you are in the UK, at hours that fit your schedule, London time.

Two people sitting side by side, one hand resting on the other’s in a gesture of comfort: the social support and human connection carried by the Accès Psy UK initiative
Social support, human connection

Born in London

Born from a simple observation

For almost ten years, Anaïs Leneau has been supporting French speakers in London and across the UK through stress, anxiety, relationship difficulties and life transitions, using psychotherapy, strategic therapy and sophrology.

In recent years, against the backdrop of the rising cost of living in the UK and the particularly high fees charged for private consultations, funding psychotherapy can represent a substantial expense, including for people fully committed to their therapy. This financial pressure can lead them to space out their sessions or to make significant trade-offs in their budget. Yet comfort within the therapeutic space, including financial comfort, contributes to the sense of security a person needs in order to work at taking care of themselves. Accès Psy UK was therefore designed to offer a more comfortable and reassuring financial framework, allowing everyone to benefit from regular support for as long as they need.

Accès Psy UK was born from that observation and from the conviction that quality therapeutic support should be accessible, preventive and sustainable: that is the model this initiative offers, by videoconference, for French speakers living anywhere in the UK. A simple request, reviewed with care; social support and human connection.

Market benchmark: UK therapy guides commonly place a private session in London between £80 and £250, higher still in the centre; among the city’s French-speaking practitioners, publicly listed fees range from £80 to £250 for 45 to 50 minutes. Accès Psy UK offers the 30-minute session at £50 or €58, below the entry price of the private market.

The 30-minute session, at £50 or €58

How it works, concretely

  • 30-minute therapy sessions in French, by videoconference, with a qualified professional who works with you personally over time.
  • One clear fee, two ways to pay: £50 or €58 per session. To make payment easier from the UK as well as from France, Belgium or Switzerland, you choose whichever currency suits you best. Payment is made by Revolut or bank transfer, at the end of each session.
  • Weekly or fortnightly: regularity sustains change, at a rhythm chosen together and adjustable to the seasons of your life and your progress.
  • Slots offered from morning to evening, fitted around your schedule, UK time, from home, your workplace, your holiday base, wherever you are.
  • A deliberately limited number of places, to guarantee genuine availability, attentive listening and personalised support.
  • A simple request, a prompt reply: you send your request through the form, it is reviewed in strict confidence, and you receive a swift answer to arrange the first session.

Students, professionals, expats, parents

For French speakers in the UK, and their loved ones

What we live most intimately is best expressed in our mother tongue, with all its nuance and humour: sessions are held in French. This page is in English so that partners, friends and colleagues can understand the initiative and pass it on to a French speaker they care about.

  • Expat life
  • Stress and anxiety
  • Life transitions
  • Loneliness and homesickness
  • Relationship difficulties

Students

You study at the London School of Economics, UCL, Central Saint Martins, the Lycée Français Charles de Gaulle or the Lycée International de Londres Winston Churchill: the pressure of studies, exams, expensive city life, the loneliness that surprises you even when leaving home was your own choice. A space of your own, on a student budget.

Working professionals

First salary or a career already in motion, packed schedules, a mental load that spills over. A regular half-hour, from morning to evening, that fits inside a British working week.

Long-term expats

The old sense of being uprooted that resurfaces, life transitions, decisions taken far from family and friends. Support in your own language, wherever you live: London, Manchester, Edinburgh or elsewhere.

Parents

A family between two languages and two cultures, full days, attention constantly turned towards others. Half an hour for yourself, with neither travel nor childcare to organise, from home.

What Accès Psy UK stands for

Making therapy more accessible

The cost of a session should never stop someone from asking for help. Accès Psy UK offers a model designed to lower the financial barrier while preserving the quality of the therapeutic work.

Choosing prevention

It is better to act when the first difficulties appear, before they settle into lasting suffering. Prevention is one of the most precious forms of care.

Protecting continuity

The effectiveness of therapy rests largely on the quality and continuity of the therapeutic relationship. Regular support achieves more than a course of therapy broken off for lack of means.

Working in your language

Living, working and thinking in a second language demands constant adaptation. Being supported in your mother tongue opens a space where emotions speak more freely, with more nuance and more safety.

Respecting your freedom

You remain free to set and adjust the rhythm of your sessions, with no long-term commitment. The follow-up is built around your needs, your goals and your possibilities.

Preserving quality

Accessibility is built in service of quality. The number of places is deliberately limited to guarantee genuine availability, attentive listening and personalised support.

Making payment simple

Financial ease also comes from simple payment terms. Each session can be paid in pounds or in euros, whichever is most practical for you: £50 or €58.

Solution-focused and strategic therapy

A deliberate way of practising

Accès Psy UK reflects a deliberate way of working: the clinical framework and rigour of classic psychotherapy, with a practitioner who works with you over time, within a model designed to make regular support affordable for more people.

The 30-minute session has its own strategy: it goes straight to the point.

The relationship remains direct and human, one person to another, within a safe, ethical and caring framework. Confidentiality is complete, online as in a consulting room. Whenever a situation calls for more time, the classic 50-minute format remains available.

Taking care of yourself means moving towards more freedom: a space to breathe, take stock, understand and move forward, before difficulties settle in.

Calm sea under a pale light, a flight of birds on the horizon: the image of recovered breath that regular, accessible therapeutic support aims for, without haste

Mental health prevention

Mental health prevention shouldn’t be a luxury.

Everyone should be able to benefit from a space for listening, support and reflection before difficulties turn into lasting suffering. This initiative is about social support and human connection: because caring for one’s mental health is a human need.

Questions about online therapy

Frequently asked questions

What is Accès Psy UK?

Accès Psy UK is a social initiative founded by Anaïs Leneau, a psychopractitioner holding the European Certificate of Psychotherapy (ECP): 30-minute online therapy sessions in French, £50 or €58, weekly or fortnightly, for French speakers living in the United Kingdom. A model designed to make regular therapeutic support accessible, preventive and sustainable.

Who are the sessions for?

Accès Psy UK is for French speakers living in the UK (students, working professionals, expats or parents) for whom the cost of sessions can limit the freedom to choose the pace and regularity of their support. This English page is here so that loved ones can learn about the initiative.

Is 30 minutes really enough?

A 30-minute session is compact and complete: it goes straight to the point. Solution-focused therapy and strategic therapy, in which the practitioners of the initiative are trained, are built for this tempo and make every minute count. Regularity creates depth: half an hour every week or fortnight sustains continuous movement. Whenever a situation calls for more time, the classic 50-minute format remains available.

How often do sessions take place?

Accès Psy UK sessions take place weekly or fortnightly, depending on your needs, goals and possibilities. You remain free to adjust the rhythm of your sessions at any time, with no long-term commitment.

Can I pay in euros or in pounds?

An Accès Psy UK session lasts 30 minutes and costs £50 or €58. To make payment easier from the UK as well as from France, you can choose whichever currency suits you best. Payment is made by Revolut or bank transfer, at the end of each session. An invoice can be provided on request.

Can sessions be paid for from France?

Yes, payment can be made in euros or in pounds, by the person attending or, with their agreement, by a relative. The fee is €58 or £50 per session.

How much does therapy usually cost in London?

UK therapy guides commonly place a private session in London between £80 and £250, and higher still in central London; among the city’s French-speaking practitioners, publicly listed fees range from £80 to £250 for 45 to 50 minutes. Training clinics and charities offer lower fees within their own frameworks: trainee practitioners, eligibility criteria, waiting times. At £50 or €58 for a 30-minute session with experienced professionals, Accès Psy UK sits below the entry price of the private market.

Can I have my sessions in French if I live outside London?

Yes. Sessions take place by secure videoconference, London time, wherever you live in the UK: Manchester, Edinburgh, Cardiff, Bristol or a village in Kent. Accès Psy UK was designed for the whole country: 30-minute sessions in French, £50 or €58, weekly or fortnightly.

I am worried about someone close to me: what can I do?

You are welcome to write to Accès Psy UK to understand how the initiative works and ask your questions. The therapeutic step itself belongs to the person concerned, at their own pace; passing on the information is often the most helpful gesture. Sessions are held in French; this English page is here precisely so you can understand the initiative and pass it on.

Are the sessions held in English?

Accès Psy UK sessions are held in French: it is the working language of the initiative. This website is available in English so that English-speaking partners, friends and colleagues can understand how it works and suggest it to French speakers around them. You are welcome to send your questions in English.

What about the NHS?

NHS Talking Therapies are free at the point of use and you can refer yourself in most areas. Accès Psy UK offers what a private, independent format adds: your own language, a practitioner who works with you personally over time, a rhythm you choose, and a first session arranged promptly after your request.

Why is the number of places limited?

Accessibility is built in service of quality. The number of places is deliberately limited to guarantee genuine availability, attentive listening and personalised support.

How do I send a request?

To join Accès Psy UK, fill in the form on the contact page, or the one at the end of this page: briefly present your request, with your availability, London time. It is reviewed in strict confidence by the qualified professionals available, and you receive a prompt reply to arrange the first session.

One important note. Accès Psy UK supports regular therapeutic work. If you are in acute distress, in the UK, Samaritans answer day and night on 116 123; in France, the national suicide prevention line is 3114. If your situation calls for medical or psychiatric care, your GP or NHS 111 are the right contacts.
